The 52nd meeting was held at Kojimachi-kuminkan in the morning of 27th. We had as much as 6 guests this morning, which helped to create a vibrant atmosphere.
TMOM was TM. I. He organized the meeting very steady and smoothly.
The Word of the morning was "lively" by TM. M.
The news of the week was given by TM. F. She introduced Windows8 that had just been released on the previous day. She clearly explained several brand new features of the product.
In the prepared speech session. We had 4 speakers. The 1st speaker was TM. Y. She won the 1st place in the area contest of table-topics speech.
Her story was developing from her favorite book "Prince of Starts" to her heart-warming story with NY bus driver with the object of "beauty of work".
The 2nd speaker was TM. I. His speech objective was interpretive reading. He narrated a book of John Milton, "Paradise Lost".
His strong and deep voice perfectly matched to the story and we were brought to the time of Creation. The 3rd speech was presented by TM. K about morning/night person.
He started his speech with his experience of studying very early in the morning. He introduced three points for good sleeping, very useful to us.
The last speaker was TM. S and the speech was about old hag syndrome. He brought up three points about "how to deal with old hag syndrome" based on his own experience and research.
These were all useful especially for me, because I frequently suffer from old hag syndrome.
Today's table topic theme given by TM. S was "autumn". His selected 4 topics thought to be deeply related to "autumn" in Japan; sports, art, reading and appetite.
Evaluation session was conducted by TM. Y. Every evaluator had a concrete and effective suggestion for improvement. The general evaluation was given with an attention to the detail.
The meeting ended with the announcement of a joint meeting with a toastmasters club in Seoul!
